Our charges are uncomplicated and 100% transparent. There are no hidden extras and there is no call out charge. In addition, all customers are made aware of our rates at the time they book their job with our 24-hour call centre.
Hourly Rates, Fixed Price, No Extras
- There is a minimum charge of one hour on all jobs, thereafter work is charged in 15 minute increments. All rates exclude the cost of materials.
- Written and verbal quotations are available from our engineers or we are happy to make an appointment for an estimator to assess your job.
- Customers will not be charged for parking or the time engineers spend travelling to jobs.

Charges are per hour except those marked with a * which denotes Fixed Price work
NOTES:
1. Estimates are generally non-chargeable. If an estimate is chargeable due to the location and/or time then the cost will be deducted from the final invoice.
2. Materials supplied by M Cunningham Plumbing & Heating Ltd will be charged at cost plus 20%. Collection time will be kept to a minimum - any charge will be agreed with the customer in advance.
3. Payment must be made in full by credit card, cheque or cash to the engineer upon receipt of invoice.
M Cunningham Plumbing & heating Ltd will:
- Only charge for time spent at a job and the number of hours worked.
- Not to charge the customer for collecting materials.
- Not charge an excessive trade markup on materials.
- Not charge for two tradesmen on two-handed work unless necessary - an apprentice or labourer will be used wherever possible.
- Not charge for tea and lunch breaks.
- Not charge for unnecessary time spent away from the job, and always keep customer informed when you are leaving the job and why.
- Not charge for any wasted or unnecessary time when undertaking your work.
- Present an invoice showing a clear and comprehensive description of work carried out and a full breakdown of labour and material charges upon the completion of your job.
- Make sure that any estimated work that is costed at our day rate see above.
- Not carry out any unnecessary work.
- Not talk customers into any work that is not needed. Not overcharge customers under any circumstances.
